Job description

NOCTIS is looking for a Content Producer / Videographer to create photo and video content across several automotive brands and businesses in the Los Angeles area. This is an ongoing independent contractor opportunity for someone who loves cars, understands modern automotive content, and wants consistent access to custom builds, performance and luxury vehicles, dealership inventory, automotive collections, events, and automotive lifestyle content. You will work closely with NOCTIS's Creative Director, who handles overall creative direction, concepts, content planning, brand strategy, and social media management. Your focus will be bringing those concepts to life through filming, photography, editing, and technical production. What You'll Work On Content will span several automotive brands and environments, including: * An automotive media and lifestyle brand producing long\-form YouTube and short\-form social content * A custom and performance vehicle shop * A private automotive dealership * Potential automotive museum and private collection content * Vehicle builds, interviews, events, car features, behind\-the\-scenes content, and other automotive projects One day might involve filming a custom build, another shooting dealership inventory, and another producing a YouTube interview, vlog, or automotive feature. What You'll Do * Film high\-quality automotive content * Photograph vehicles, builds, events, and behind\-the\-scenes moments * Edit vertical content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts * Film and edit long\-form YouTube content * Capture cinematic vehicle footage including rollers, details, reveals, and lifestyle shots * Film interviews and conversational content * Handle lighting and audio for productions * Color correct and grade footage * Perform sound design and audio cleanup * Organize footage and project files * Deliver properly formatted final content * Identify interesting shots and content opportunities while on location * Collaborate with the Creative Director to translate concepts and creative briefs into finished content Typical Content Scope Workload will vary based on current projects, vehicles, and events. Typical production may include: * 1–3 long\-form YouTube videos per week * Short\-form automotive content across multiple brands * Custom build and transformation content * Automotive photography * Vehicle inventory features * Interviews and automotive community stories * Ongoing project\-car/build series * Vlog\-style content * Museum/collection vehicle features * Occasional events and special projects Many shoots will be intentionally designed to create multiple pieces of content across several platforms. Who We're Looking For We're much more interested in what you can create than what's written on your résumé. A strong candidate should have: * A portfolio or reel demonstrating strong video work * Experience filming and editing * Strong understanding of composition, movement, lighting, and visual storytelling * Proficiency with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or comparable professional editing software * Understanding of short\-form social media content * Ability to edit longer YouTube\-style videos * Photography experience * Strong file\-management and organizational habits * Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to shoots throughout the Los Angeles area * Ability to work independently while executing established creative objectives * Genuine interest in automotive culture Automotive production experience is strongly preferred, but not required if your portfolio demonstrates strong technical ability and visual taste. Students nearing graduation, recent graduates, self\-taught creators, and established freelancers are all welcome to apply. Contractor Structure This is an **independent contractor (1099\) relationship, not an employee position**. Compensation is based on an agreed upon recurring production scope. The contractor: * Is free to maintain and work with other clients * Controls their own post\-production workflow and working schedule, subject to agreed shoot times and project deadlines * May complete editing and post\-production from their own workspace * May optionally use available workspace at participating automotive locations when convenient * Is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and other obligations associated with independent work * Does not receive employee benefits from NOCTIS, including health insurance, paid vacation, retirement benefits, or other employee benefit programs Some shoots must naturally occur at specific locations and times based on vehicle, client, or event availability. Equipment We prefer candidates who have access to their own professional production setup, including a camera, lenses, editing computer, and editing software. Experience with gimbals, wireless audio, lighting, action cameras, and automotive rigging is a plus. Please tell us what equipment you currently own and regularly use. Additional production equipment may be available depending on the project. Why This Role Is Different This isn't a position where you'll spend every week filming the same product against the same wall. You'll have regular access to a wide range of vehicles and automotive environments, with opportunities to build a substantial professional automotive portfolio while helping develop several growing automotive brands. You'll also have meaningful creative freedom at the production level. Overall concepts and brand direction will be established collaboratively, while we're looking for someone who can bring their own technical skill, visual instincts, and ideas to execution. How to Apply Please send: * A short introduction about yourself * Your portfolio, reel, website, or creator/social account * Examples of short\-form video work * Examples of long\-form work, if available * Any automotive content you've created * Editing software you're comfortable using * Camera and production equipment you currently use * Whether you currently perform freelance photo/video work for other clients * Your general availability * A short explanation of why automotive content interests you Formal education is not required. Selection Process Strong applicants will be invited to an initial conversation to discuss the role, experience, and creative approach. Finalists may then be offered a **paid automotive test project** before entering into an ongoing agreement. Pay: $700\.00 \- $1,200\.00 per week Benefits: * Flexible schedule Application Question(s): * What is your favorite car of all time and why? Language: * English (Required) Ability to Commute: * Westlake Village, CA 91362 (Required) Work Location: In person
