Seeking an AVID Video Editor with a strong sense of storytelling to create, edit and output short form documentaries, promos and web clips.
We are a small, private production facility that shoots and distributes material to support our non\-profit organizations initiatives for the web, corporate events, fundraisers, and conferences.
The post\-production team includes producers, writers, fellow editors and a motion graphics designer.
This is NOT a remote position. All candidates must be in the Los Angeles area with availability to work in the office, Monday \- Friday during normal business hours.
This position is guaranteed 40 hours per week ($38\.00/hr) for two months with the possibility of a permanent on\-staff salary position thereafter.
* Experience level, minimum of 3 years
* Expert knowledge in Avid Media Composer and shared storage
* Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
* Understanding of various codecs for web compression
* Must be able to multi\-task, and work under the stress of deadlines
* Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately
* Have a collaborative spirit and approach each project with a creative eye
